Find Sculpture in Pilane/Tjörn. From Gothenburg, drive north along the E6 motorway. Take the exit at Stenungsund and follow directions to Tjörn. After the Tjörn bridge, turn left at the traffic lights and follow road 169 towards Skärhamn. At Wallhamn, turn right towards Kållekärr and Kyrkesund. Pass Kållekärr and then follow brown and white signs for ”Pilane gravfält” towards Kyrkesund. If travelling by bus, the closest bus stop is Basteröd. If arriving at Tjörn by boat, there is a daily bus from Björholmen’s Marina to Pilane.

Sculpture exhibition entry. Adults 120 SEK. Pensioners and students 100 SEK. Season ticket 250 SEK. Children aged under 15 enter for free with a paying adult. Common credit cards accepted. Free entry to visit the ancient monuments only.
Guided tours. Guided tours are offered Wednesdays and Saturdays from 1 July to 26 August, starting at 12.00 noon. Also on Midsummer Day 24 June, at 12.00 noon. Take the chance to deepen your knowledge about Pilane’s history, the amazing natural environment and contemporary art. The guided tour takes about 1.5 hours, and costs 200 SEK per person including entry. No fee for accompanying children aged under 15. Guided tours can be pre-booked by emailing email@example.com.
School groups. Groups of no more than 10 students per teacher/adult. Book via email at least 1 week before the visit. Bookings include confirmation that the school is financially responsible during the visit.
Safety rules. Adults are responsible for accompanying children and for ensuring no children or sculptures are injured or damaged. Please note that climbing on the sculptures is NOT allowed. As a parent, you must keep an eye on your children and you are financially liable for any damage to the works of art caused by non-compliance. Climbing on gates and fences is also prohibited. Please note that the top part of the fence is electrified.
Accessibility. The exhibition area is not a park with established walkways. Visitors move freely through the grazing landscape along informal trails across meadows and over hills. Sturdy shoes are recommended, and boots when wet. Sections of the area are quite hilly and to reach the highest located works of art, one must be fit and agile. Follow the instructions about safe footpaths. Visitors with limited mobility can access the central part of the area relatively easily, from where one can view many off the work so art.
Picnic. You are welcome to bring your own picnic basket, but don’t sit down close to the sculpture as this can impact the experience of fellow visitors. Remember that it is not allowed to feed the animal.
Dogs. You are welcome to bring any canine companion to the exhibition if they are on a leash. Naturally, you must bring bags to pick up anything left behind. Please don’t dispose of the bags in nature or in our toilets, see below.
Keep the environment clean. Just like any time you are out in nature, you are responsible for disposing of any rubbish. Pilane is an active grazing landscape and there are no rubbish bins in the area or by the reception. What you bring here, please take home and dispose of.
Toilets. Portable toilets are available by the car park and the Farmyard Café. Throwing dog waste bags or other rubbish in the toilets is strictly prohibited.
